At Maybell & Co., we make handmade leather goods in our custom leather shop. From custom leather wallets to handmade belts, bags, and more, our premium leather products deliver a refined style to the everyday items you carry. We have been sourcing and testing leather from all over the world to find the exact leathers that work best for our goods, and we feel we have; by using only the finest and highest quality leather, proven over lifetimes to be durable to a fault, while delivering supple feel and warm timeless character. Drawing from the rich lore of frontier saddle makers and Italian vegetable tanning traditions, our leather craft brings that same dedication to every piece we make.

We primarily work with leather from two of the world's finest tanneries: From Horween Leather Company in Chicago, we use their Dublin leather. This is a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather infused with a rich blend of natural waxes and oils. It has a medium temper that strikes a great balance, firm enough to hold its shape, yet supple with a beautiful pull-up effect that develops a rich patina over time. From Virgilio Conceria Artigiana in Italy, we use their Vacchetta leather. This vegetable-tanned leather is known for its softer, more supple temper and elegant natural patina. It starts relatively firm but softens beautifully with use, developing deep, rich character over time.
